I have been fortunate enough throughout my industry career with both Taylor Made Cakes of Tenterden and Taylor Made Cake Courses to have won many awards, as well as being featured in press publications and editorials from around the world.
This page showcases my awards and press articles which I consider to be a hugely humbling accolade, as well as an inspiration for any small business working so hard to establish their brand and identity.
As I always say to my students “If I can do it, so can you”!

CAKE INTERNATIONAL 2021
Wow, to say I’m overwhelmed is THE biggest understatement of the year!
Myself and @rockpoolcreative have been waiting for 2 years for this huge cake event! It had been cancelled so many times due to Covid… each time gearing myself up for it, then to be cancelled!
But on November 5th we arrived.. I’d been to Cake International a few years back with my cake bestie Angela from Sugarin! We had an amazing time then, I was also lucky enough to attend the award ceremony where cake royalty are in their abundance. So amazing…
Cake International
In June 2020, during Covid, I was one of a few selected to appear as a tutor for Cake International. I was overwhelmed with the support for my video demo amongst many other extremely talented industry professionals.

Having my handcrafted bespoke cupcake bouquets featured in British Vogue really was a career highlight for me.
I mean, it doesn’t get much better, or more current than Vogue!
Taylor Made Cakes of Tenterden was featured for wedding inspiration in the 2018 Spring Fashion edition.
Vogue Paris
I am proud to have been featured in Vogue Paris twice. After the success of my first article I was then asked to produce a recipe & method for a second feature.
Retail magnate and entrepreneur Theo Paphitis is someone I have always admired, his incredible business acumen combined with his approachable and down to earth nature is something that has really inspired me to push forward with my business dreams, which is why I am so proud to have won the #SBS award in October 2018.
Theo says, “I admire people who have passion and energy. I was struck by the number of business owners on Twitter who wanted to tell me about their new products and services. Small Business Sunday was born so that people have a specific time slot to tweet and can pitch their ‘sell’ directly to me”.

This led to the addition of 10,000 new followers across my social media platforms…
